The vacancy
About the Role
The Pay, Reward and Employment Relations directorate is responsible for a programme of work that through partnership working with trade unions and employers, and other national stakeholders. The work of the directorate ensures that national pay and contractual provisions are implemented correctly and consistently by NHS organisations and that employers’ views on matters relating to pay, contracts and pensions are represented at national level.
As a Senior Programme Officer within the Pay, Reward & Employment Relations (Medical) team you will:
Engage with employers to identify their views on key policy developments relating to education and training, quality and standards and medical workforce supply
Assist team members in coordinating and providing the secretariat for national negotiations and discussions with trade unions
Support employers in understanding and implementing national policy and contractual obligations.
About You
You will have experience in NHS medical staffing and with national stakeholders and be able to establish effective relationships with colleagues and external bodies as well as having:
