This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

The Pay, Reward and Employment Relations directorate is responsible for a programme of work that, through partnership working with trade unions and employers, and other national stakeholders ensures that national pay and contractual provisions are implemented correctly and consistently by NHS organisations. We also ensure that employers’ views on matters relating to pay, contracts and pensions are represented at national level. 

We are looking for a Senior Programme Officer to set up and run a programme of engagement across England relating to use of the NHS job evaluation scheme. This is an exciting opportunity to support and contribute to work programmes that underpin national policy decisions on pay, reward and employment relations for the NHS workforce. 

As a Senior Programme Officer, you will: 

  • Coordinate the organisation of and, where necessary facilitate, meetings, networks and stakeholder groups including events and webinars. 

  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support intelligence gathering and sharing. 

  • Undertake web-based research and support the development of resources, reports and web-based materials with specific reference to the job evaluation work programme ensuring complex information is presented clearly and simply. 

  • Assist with gathering employer views to support national policy development and contract-related work.
