The vacancy
We're looking for someone to join and lead our Understanding Patient Data team, which an independent initiative, hosted by the NHS Confederation. You will focus on empowering individuals and communities, helping data custodians and data users do the right thing, and shape the health data policy direction. This will be done by:
To be successful in this role
You will be passionate and knowledgeable about the health sector and be an expert in data including digital and data policy, health data infrastructure programmes, and public engagement initiatives. As well as being a skilled influencer and negotiator you will also be an experienced in leading people and teams inclusively and effectively.
About Understanding Patient Data
Understanding Patient Data was established in 2016 by the Wellcome Trust to support better conversations about the uses of health information and moved to the NHS Confederation in April 2023. Working with patients, charities, and healthcare professionals, UPD has built a reputation as a trusted source of advice and objective, engaging information about the use of patient data in the UK for care and research.
