This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

To be eligible to apply for this internship you must be in the process of being or have been discharged from regular service within the last 5 years on medical grounds.

About the role

As a Programme Assistant Intern you will:

  • gain a broader knowledge of the NHS and the work NHS Employers does to support it
  • provide effective business and administrative support to programme activities
  • work collaboratively to develop website and social media content
  • support and develop future social media communications plans
  • coordinate and update routine programme reporting tools
  • manage the coordination and administration of internal and external meetings, webinars and other events
  • manage the programme mailbox, responding or redirecting queries as required.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • are in your resettlement period or have recently left the Armed Forces within the last 5 years
  • are interested in working in the NHS in the future
  • would like to gain work-based experience within a workforce/related environment
  • are able to prioritise workloads, manage conflicting priorities and demonstrate organisational skills
  • are able to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • can demonstrate good communication skills
  • have a good knowledge of MS office tools including MS Teams
  • promote an inclusive culture at work.
