About the role

Would you like to work for a charity that empowers and supports the NHS? Would you like to be part of a friendly and supportive finance team?

Due to maternity leave within the finance team, we are now looking for a Senior Finance Assistant – Purchase Ledger on a fixed term contract. The postholder will:

  • Take complete ownership of the purchase ledger, from purchase orders to supplier payment runs
  • Work to ensure that suppliers are paid within the 30 day payment terms wherever possible
  • Support staff with our purchase processes, delivering training and working on staff communications
  • contribute to the development of the finance function, including working on system improvements relating to purchase ledger

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

  • experience of managing a purchase ledger with limited supervision
  • experience of working with finance systems
  • high accuracy and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to improving processes and creating efficiencies

Your development is important to us even with this being a fixed term position. There will be a training budget you can use, and this role will give you great exposure to many aspects of a purchase ledger within a charity; all under the guidance of a supportive finance team.
